BRC
The BRC standard is currently the benchmark document for food safety management, reflecting the codified and practical requirements of the European Union on food safety. Its execution is carried out under the supervision of the mandatory entity. As amended in 2005, the standard reflects:
Traceability of food ingredients
Food ingredients are not contaminated by other substances
Food production suppliers should be able to identify the exact source of the crops in their products
Ensure that all processes in food production are adequately and effectively directed
Keep track of suppliers
Therefore, all retailers, manufacturers, importers, caterers, ingredient suppliers and food service industry personnel can benefit substantially from the standards embodied above. The standard has been widely adopted by suppliers in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, the Far East, Australia and North and South America.
